Amidst the mystical Mayan jungle of the Riviera Maya is where you’ll find our 2017 Noble Beach Prize winner, The Bath Luxe DE Luxe. It’s situated inside the Zen Grand Presidential Suite at the Grand Velas Riviera Maya and is nothing less than a swoon-worthy oasis: it offers not one, but two spa-like bathrooms. Finished in elegant Italian marble, with dual basin sinks, one features a spacious shower with rain shower heads overlooking the lush flora, while the other has a jacuzzi for two.
If that’s not enough, you can spoil yourself with L’Occitane bath amenities from Provence, France, plush robes and chic sandals, as well as an additional outdoor shower.

The Zen Grand Presidential Suite itself is incredible. The Bath Luxe DE Luxe opens up into the bedroom area, which then leads to a small outdoor patio that looks out on a pond. It’s a perfect spot where you can relax with a cocktail after a soothing bath or shower.

As nice and expansive the Grand Velas Riviera Maya is the Los Cabos resort has next to zero beach. There was room for four lounge chairs. Neither the resort or our travel agent disclosed this. Because of low occupancy dining venues were closed on rotation. With the resort mounted on a cliff the number of steps up and down should be a consideration for some clientele.
There is not a chance in the world our group of twelve would return. Management is aggressively defensive and not accommodating.
Oh No! We hate to hear that you weren’t 100% satisfied. We hope to make it up to you in the future!
