Jello Pirate Ships

  • 4 oranges (halved)
  • 1 box orange Jello
  • 1 box blue Jello
  • pirate flags
  • cute straws or toothpicks
  • clear plastic cups
  1. Slice oranges in half. Using a knife, make cuts around the inside of the orange peel, separating the peel from the orange. Scoop out the inside of the orange using a fork and/or spoon. Place empty orange peels/ cups in to an empty muffin tin.

  2. In two separate bowls, make orange and blue Jello according to instructions. Fill empty oranges with orange Jello and refrigerate until firm.

  3. Using the blue Jello, fill clear plastic cups 1/3 to 1/2 full and refrigerate until firm.

  4. Using pirate flag printable, cut flags in to squares and cut small slits at the bottom and top of the flag. Insert straw or toothpick through slits. Set aside for later.

  5. Once orange Jello has set, remove from refrigerator and slice orange halves in half.  You should have four orange halves from each orange. Stick the pirate flags in to the orange 1/4s.

  6. When the blue Jello has set, remove from refrigerator and place orange 1/4s on top so the orange looks like a pirate ship on top of water!

  7. Serve and enjoy!
