‘Tis the Season…for our 2018 Rum Tour!

by Lisa Mitchell October 17, 2017
written by Lisa Mitchell

Rum, that luscious nectar of the sea-faring gods, was born in the Caribbean, which is why we’ve planned our epic 2018 Rum Tour. During this island hopping fest, you’ll get to visit some of the region’s most treasured and under-the-radar distilleries in Antigua, St. Kitts and Barbados. So starting October 17 through November 30,  you can can reserve your spot on this magical jaunt through Rum Country and join in on the boozy fun for travel between April 26-May 1, 2018.

Our 2018 Rum Tour is an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime trip. But don’t take our word for it. Delish, Islands, PureWow,Thirsty, MSN, Inside Hook, and Jetserra sure think so, too.

Here’s the scoop.

Visit Antigua Distillery Limited. Stay at Starfish Jolly Beach Resort and Spa All-Inclusive. At the distillery, you’ll find out about the history of this esteemed locale, how the liquor is made and of course, enjoy some fabulous rum.

The Starfish Jolly Beach Resort and Spa All-Inclusive is a 40-acre escape haven that sits on a mile-long stretch of pearl-white sand on Antigua’s western coast. The resort boasts two sparkling pools, five delicious restaurants, five cool bars and oceans of activities.

Visit Wingfield Estate and Clay Villa. Stay at St. Kitts Marriott Resort & The Royal Beach Casino. For this leg of the trip, you’ll embark on a Taste the History tour, where you’ll first visit the charming city of Basseterre City, along with visits to the Wingfield Estate and Clay Villa, where you’ll get to taste a variety of island-made rums.

The St. Kitts Marriott Resort & The Royal Beach Casino has three glistening pools, eight fab restaurants and a rockin’ casino. Better still, the resort’s cabanas line the picturesque, four-mile beach, which is perfect for getting your tan on.

Visit Mount Gay Rum Distillery and Stay at Turtle Beach Resort All-Inclusive, Barbados. At the Mount Gay Rum Distillery, you’ll hear about its namesake, Sir John Gay, along with their 300+ years of knowledge, experience and refinement of the delicious libation, first known as “Kill-Devil,” we all know as rum.

Turtle Beach Resort All-Inclusive is named as such because from April through November, it’s actually a sea turtle nesting ground. The wild life, though, is just part of what makes this resort so incredible: the open-air lobby boasts ocean breezes and all the rooms are suites.

As you well know, our beloved Caribbean has been ransacked during hurricane season. To show our support, we’re donating 20 percent of the proceeds from the 2018 Rum Tour to Tourism Cares, a non-profit that is working to help disaster-affected Caribbean countries. What better thing to do than have drinks in paradise while giving back? Yep, we thought so.

To book your trip, just call 1-844-421-0818 and talk to one of our Beachologists. They’ll get you all set up. Beach Lovers, you really won’t want to miss this.
